If it's a multi-day event, does it make sense to only come out for one of those days? This is a question that people ask at music festivals all the time. With this DMB event, things are a little different. One of the positives is that you can bet that the love/rock relationship that the Dave Matthews Band is known for will still fill the air at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. That's sometimes a scary bet at other music festivals when you arrive fresh, and you get a walking-dead vibe with a ton of techno music. In this case, the drop-off of enthusiasm from the crowd is usually not as noticeable. You could actually be walking into a much more chill atmosphere while fresh as a cucumber. That's a great proposition.
Now, one of the things about the DMB that you need to know is that they don't repeat set lists. They do this obviously because they sell 2-day passes, and it wouldn't make sense to stick around for the same concert two days in a row. The problem with that for someone on a day pass is that you might miss some of the tracks like "The Space Between" or "Grave Street" that you know and love! Why not extend your stay at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion and start your vacation on a Tuesday? Just some food for thought; we'll leave it that!
A lot of the sections inside this venue have some type of first come, first served element to them. If you've got tickets for the pit or the lawn, especially, you'll want to be here real early. That's going to give you a chance to find a place that suits you before the folks who were here for last night's show get up. Arriving early also gives you a chance to locate refueling stations so that you can stay fresh throughout the entire event!
